Located along the bustling National Highway in Barangay Halang, Calamba City, Lutong Pilipino Ni Aling Ely stands out as a beacon of authentic Filipino home-cooked flavors. This Filipino restaurant specializes in traditional “lutong bahay” meals that delight the senses with every bite, capturing the heart and soul of Philippine cuisine.
The menu here is a celebration of familiar flavors done exceptionally well. Diners rave about their lechon, described as “spectacular” and “off the charts delicious,” truly a must-try that steals the spotlight. Equally compelling are classics like adobo, lovingly prepared with a special twist that elevates this beloved dish beyond expectations. Other favorites include the fresh and vibrant lumpiang sariwa, savory paksiw na isda, and flavorful sautéed seafood, all served generously to satisfy hearty appetites.
What sets Lutong Pilipino Ni Aling Ely apart is not just its food but the genuine, no-frills dining experience it offers. Customers appreciate the authenticity in every dish—like their complimentary soup that uses real tamarind instead of artificial broth cubes—speaking volumes about their commitment to quality and tradition. While the interiors reflect simplicity and could benefit from a modern refresh, the airy ambiance and spacious parking make it a convenient stop for travelers and locals alike.
Though some guests note that prices are a bit on the higher side compared to budget eateries, most find the generous portions and flavorful meals well worth the value. Simple no frills Pinoy cuisine at its best. Not terribly pricey, at P650 our party of four lunched on lumpiang sariwa, sauteed seafood, paksiw na isda, adobo and hot rice. Their free soup also uses real tamarind not the broth cubes which is saying a lot. Interiors could be updated though, and maybe Wi-Fi?

Good Filipino food but it is not budget friendly. Airy place, nice staff and big parking space. Very busy when we visited for lunch.

If you’re craving traditional lutong bahay meals, this place hits the spot! The food is super flavorful, portions are generous, and the prices are easy on the wallet. Their adobo has a special twist, but the lechon is hands down the best — a must-try!

Nice restaurant with authentic Filipino dishes. Liked their lechon, but overall the price of their meals is on the higher side
